Cecilia & Matías have been dancing and teaching tango since 2006. They have studied with the most acclaimed “milongueros” (traditional tango dancers) and also with some of the most famous professional tango dancers and teachers of Argentina, e.g. Jorge Torres, Carlos Rivarola, Roberto Reis & Guillermina Quiroga, Juan Carlos Copes, Claudio Gonzalez & Melina Brufmann and Roberto Herrera. Cecilia is also a graduate Ballet Teacher from the Escuela Municipal de Danzas “José Neglia” and studied at the Instituto Universitario Nacional de las Artes (IUNA). Matías has also studied theatricals, contemporary dance and argentine folkloric dance.
Together they have developed a characteristic dance style, where the traditional and representative aspects of the tango dance as the close embrace, the body connection and the introspective feelings are raised to a scenic level, giving as a result the body language, intense emotions and technical skills that inevitably astonishes to all of theirs public.
Their lessons are very dynamic, focusing on the enjoyment and healthy developing of a traditional dance that anyone can do. They have taught in traditional “milongas” of Buenos Aires, and also in the “Escuela Argentina de Tango”. They are also invited teachers of “Fundación de Tango Argentino”.
Cecilia & Matías have performed on several places and occasions. They have presented in milongas as “La Ideal” with the orchestra “Los Reyes del Tango”, in “La
Baldosa”, “Salón Canning” and others.
They have been part of the dancer’s staff in shows like “Café
Homero”, “Café
Tortoni”, “Esquina Homero
Manzi” and “Piazzolla Tango”.
They have been also exclusive dancers on the cruise ship “The Yachts of Seabourn”´s “Seabourn Pride”, and main dancers in the "Park Hyatt Palacio Duhau" Hotel during 2010-2011. Since are the tango dance teachers in the NPO Tiempo Iberoamericano sited in Fukuoka, Japan.
